Your WHY in Life and Why It Matters

secretsofyve

Welcome! This blog and associated podcasts are inclusive, self-empowerment, personal development, and inner harmony-nurturing safe spaces where you will be guided to not only take up space, but simultaneously hold space for others. The blogs include more information than the podcasts. Here is a blog about your why in life and why it matters.

What's your WHY & why is it important? Your WHY is what gives you life; it is your energy, the reason you wake up, the reason you strive, and the reason you are giving everyday living your all. You will find that when your why is blurry, it is difficult to bounce back from setbacks and thrive. However, when it is crystal clear; any chaos you experience will be temporary because Your WHY will step in and center you once again. After you read this blog, make sure to follow up with How To Find Your WHY .

A lot of people may have questions about their WHY. Let me provide an example; my why for my podcast was & is to learn & teach people how to take up space & simultaneously hold space for others. Why? Because I believe in ABUNDANCE & I know that we are all capable of succeeding and bringing others along with us.

Your WHY should be the main component when creating your personal statement. A personal statement is your life’s mission and vision, and if you haven't created one, I will guide you through my upcoming life game plan workbook. My 6 steps workbook will be available for those who have signed up to receive an email notification from me. Therefore, please do so that you will know when it has been released.  Not only will my workbook help you discover your why, but it will also help you articulate and translate your why into words.

There are two key points that may be keeping you from knowing your why, discovering your why or acting on your why.

1.        You are in a stagnant or motionless state not really understanding or knowing what gets you up in the morning.

2.       You know your WHY, but fear of the unknown is keeping you from taking needed action to get you back to living life with a purpose.

When you know your why, you are capable of turning your lowest points into wins. The young expecting mother who doesn't know where life is heading who finds the strength to charge forward. The overworked & underpaid employee who makes the decision to work and save money then leave her stressful job to pursue her brand/dream business not knowing if it will succeed. The son who has forced expectations who paves his own path. All these people used their disadvantages to their advantage. It wasn't easy, but along the way, they put in the effort to do the inner work & from that, their WHY became absolutely clear.

A lot of people are experiencing a crisis because they are not aware of their why. Without your WHY in place, you may feel out of alignment. You are in a routine, but it is not one that is fueled by your purpose. You might state that that routine provides for you, and it absolutely does; there is no denial of that reality. However, you can make the time to reflect, discover your WHY then leverage your current position to start saving towards making your WHY a reality. Stay tuned for an upcoming blog regarding how to find your WHY.

At the end of it all, your WHY is what gives your existence meaning and not only lights that fire in your soul, but keeps it burning.
