Organizing is one of my favorite activities and I can spend hours sorting, arranging, organizing and reorganizing. When I was younger and used to disappear; that is what my mother would find me doing. Our bedroom is one of the spaces that I am currently transforming and I love all the clean-looking furniture and storage solutions I have found! I am here to help you figure out how to clean, organize and decorate a bedroom.

To begin, you have to pay attention to the size of the room in order to make a decision regarding what would go in there. Your bedroom doesn’t have to be massive. I myself have had a bedroom in the past that was just big enough to fit my full-size bed with a narrow walking space left.

To organize clothes, we got two IKEA cabinets (approximately $100 each) that immediately made putting clothes away effortless. We do have clothes stored in different parts of the house because we always want to make sure that if one of our kids is taking a nap in our room; we still have clothing options readily available.

I was so excited to find the cloth storage boxes you see under the television from Target. That particular subtle flower/fern print went quickly and at $10 a piece, I wanted to make sure that I grabbed a couple before they disappeared. Not only do we slide them in the TV stand, but we also placed them under the two chairs in our room.

Speaking of chairs, we got those two gorgeous pieces from Homegoods at approximately $99 each. Just as any other big items we purchase, we got one then returned a week later for the other one.

Lastly, we also got the basket with handles on top of the cabinet from Homegoods ($12). It is a simple storage solution where you can quickly throw items like socks or electronics that makes a statement.

I cannot wait to share the rest of the room with you! For example, there are two large glass storage systems that we use to display shoes and store bedding that are amazing. Remember that this is just one side of our bedroom and there is more to follow. Therefore, subscribe to our email list and stay tuned!
