Let me start by describing what affirmations are the important role they can play in altering the trajectories of our daily lives and our journey through life as a whole. Self-sabotaging unfortunately happens almost daily if not daily for millions of people around the world. In order to understand and experience the positive aspects of affirmations, you must first understand what they mean and make even the slightest effort daily to CHANGE YOUR MINDSET. Nothing different will happen if you do not do things differently, and that is a fact.
Affirmations are simply sentences and statements that one creates or adopts that if truly embraced and believed in, can assist you in making positive changes mentally and physically. In addition, they are capable of warding off negative thoughts and feelings. Affirmations are powerful enough to help relieve anxiety, and help you move through depression and moods that negatively affect your well-being.
When have you found yourself or even heard others talking themselves down? From thinking you are incapable of a task that has been handed to you to thinking there is someone out there who could do better than you ever could? I’ll give it to you straight; there are things that people can do better than you, but guess what? There are things that you can do better than other people as well. Our job is not to sit at the top of the list, it is to give it our best. No one else is meant to live the life you are living and that is your truth; own it.
Putting ourselves down comes easier than lifting ourselves up. I get it. Sometimes we just need others to keep reminding us that we are good enough. What if I told you that altering your mindset and using positive affirmations often will help you remember that you are good enough all on your own? Here is how my @secretsofyve theory of change works when it comes to affirmations: create or adopt affirmations, write them down and repeat them often, repetition transforms affirmations into beliefs, and beliefs become our lives’ guiding principles.

It is easy to let negative thoughts flow, but what are the consequences of letting them reign? How can we truly thrive when we think the worst of ourselves? To Err is human. We will slip and make mistakes, but we should not let that take hold. Let us learn to own our mistakes and setbacks, pick ourselves up and move forward. Not only do we owe it to ourselves, but we deserve it.
Affirmations are what we chose to focus on in order to vibrate at a higher frequency. They inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves and just as negative feelings and emotions can pull us down, affirmations that evoke positive feelings and emotions can lift us up. Changing your thinking patterns is not only helpful, it is so vital to living an energetic and fruitful life.
